First Live Goats Micro Finance Project of The Lady Fatemah Trust in Tanzania

tansproj_livegoats Assists two families with 14 members

The Lady Fatemah (a.s.) Charitable Trust suggested to start giving live goats to the families so that these families start to become self-supporting and not remain dependent for life.

These high breed wether (female goat) deliver twins, and can have up to two sets of kids in a year.  The first female kid, will be given back to LFT, for other families to start their herds from, and no recipient is allowed to slaughter any goat from the first two set of kids.

Quarterly Report (October to December 2011) of KIBOWA Poultry Project

An injection of Tshs 1,870,000 (approx. US$ 1250.00) in to the KIBOWA POULTRY has assisted the orphanage to not only generate a few shillings for itself, but also give the orphans good eggs to eat for breakfast.

It is quite cold here in Arusha these days, so the progress is not too fast. At the same time, the owners, who take care of the project themselves, are learning as they go, and are very cautious. Starting off with 70 layers, 60 broilers, and 4 roasters, over the past three months, they have harvested 266 eggs, and sold off 60 broilers at a good profit.

LFT assists 12 more Amputee cases in Tanzania bring total number of Amputees to 140

LFT Donors USD 450.00 will change a life

Amputation is a mutilating surgical procedure, both altering the body image and producing severe functional deficit.  While amputation is less in practice in the developed countries due to the development of modern technology, in many of the African countries, the situation is worsening as many treatable deceases continue to end up in amputation.
